In this video, we will show you how to create a WordPress staging site and how to push it live when you are ready.
Important points:
- If your production site is already built and live, and you were only testing updates or changes, choose “Push live to existing site” at 03:22 when cloning from staging to live.
- If your site is still loading the staging URL after being pushed live, go to Files > public_html > wp-config.php and make sure the URLs have been updated correctly.
- Make sure “Discourage search engines” is unchecked by going to wp-admin > Settings > Reading, as shown in the video.
